CP198  Privatisation of Poznan Water, Poland Investment Planning
With EBRD funding, VA Projekt Consultants and WRc undertook a serviceability and asset condition assessment of the water / wastewater above / below ground assets of Poznan water in Poland. The aim of the study was to introduce and illustrate the use of technical approaches to underground asset condition / performance assessment by providing information on the dynamic / static condition of the assets.

Availability of pertinent serviceability data was established and its accuracy and completeness estimated. Serviceability indicators were agreed and additional data needs identified. To facilitate data collection, the networks were characterised to identify typical / representative zones from which results were extrapolated to the whole system.

Benefits

The asset condition and serviceability research for Poznan water provided information for the investment programme to be developed.
